Stewarding What God Has Given You

One of the most sobering truths in life is that every one of us has been entrusted with something valuable.

Time. Influence. Opportunities. Relationships. Abilities. Resources.

None of these things belong to us permanently. They are gifts from God, entrusted to us for a season. The question is not whether we have been given something. The question is what we are doing with what we have been given.

In Matthew 25:14–30, Jesus tells the Parable of the Talents. A master entrusts his servants with resources according to their abilities before leaving on a journey. When he returns, he asks for an account of what they did with what was placed in their care.

The servants who invested what they had been given were commended. The servant who buried his opportunity was rebuked.

The lesson is clear: God expects faithfulness.

What We’ve Been Given Matters

Many people spend their lives wishing they had someone else’s gifts, opportunities, or circumstances. Yet Jesus never evaluates us based on what He gave someone else. He evaluates us based on what He entrusted to us.

The faithful servants did not compare themselves to one another. They simply took what they had been given and put it to work.

The same is true today.

You may not have a large platform, but you have influence.

You may not have extraordinary resources, but you have opportunities.

You may not have all the answers, but you have a testimony.

God does not call us to be successful by the world’s standards. He calls us to be faithful with what He has placed in our hands.

Faithfulness Over Fame

Our culture celebrates visibility. God celebrates faithfulness.

The heroes of the Kingdom are often ordinary people who consistently obey God in ordinary moments.

A parent who faithfully disciples their children.

A church member who quietly serves week after week.

A leader who chooses integrity when no one is watching.

A believer who shares the gospel with a neighbor.

These acts may never make headlines, but they matter deeply to God.

Faithfulness in small things often becomes the foundation for greater Kingdom impact.

Every Day Is an Investment

Whether we realize it or not, every day we are investing our lives somewhere.

We invest our time in priorities.

We invest our resources in values.

We invest our attention in pursuits.

We invest our influence in people.

The question is not whether we are investing. The question is whether we are investing in things that matter for eternity.

At The Grove Network, we believe growth happens when people intentionally steward what God has entrusted to them. Healthy lives, healthy leaders, and healthy churches are built through daily decisions that honor Christ.

Every conversation can be an opportunity to encourage someone.

Every act of service can point someone toward Jesus.

Every moment of obedience can produce fruit that lasts beyond this life.

Living to Hear “Well Done”

The goal of the Christian life is not comfort, applause, or recognition.

The goal is faithfulness.

One day every believer will stand before the Lord and give an account of how they stewarded the gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities entrusted to them.

What a joy it will be to hear those words:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)

That is why we must make every day count.

Make your influence count.

Make your leadership count.

Make your service count.

Make your witness count.

Most importantly, make your life count for Jesus.

Because when Jesus is made much of, nothing invested in His Kingdom is ever wasted.
