New Year, New You?

A new year often brings with it the hope of a fresh start—a reset, a new beginning. It’s the season of “New Year’s resolutions,” when many people commit to making a change they believe they can carry through the entire year. Those resolutions can range from reading the Bible more consistently to the most common goal of all: losing weight. Yet, for many, that motivation fades, and by the end of the first month, the resolution is already behind them.

But you do not need to lose heart. You do not need to be discouraged. And you certainly do not need to give up on yourself. One reason many people struggle is that they try to do it alone. We were never designed to grow, change, or thrive in isolation. God created us to need help—to walk alongside others who can encourage, guide, and support us.

No matter what you are hoping to change in your life, you do not have to muddle your way through it by yourself. Growth was never meant to be a solo journey.

That’s why it is important to seek out others who are walking a similar path. As a life coach and consultant, I am here to help. I can offer biblical insight, encouragement, and practical guidance as you pursue the changes you desire in your life. If you are ready to take a step forward, I invite you to reach out and schedule an initial consultation.

Beyond that, God has placed people around us who can encourage us, and He has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us—especially as we seek to live more like Jesus. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in your heart and lead you toward the person God is shaping you to become.

Finally, don’t be discouraged when you stumble or fall. Slipping up does not mean you are failing; often, it’s a sign that you are moving in the right direction. Growth is rarely a straight line. Extend grace to yourself, and allow Jesus to lift you up and set you back on the path He has for you.

My hope is that this year will be better than the last—and that when you look back at the end of 2026, you will be able to see just how far God has brought you.
